Just a man, or more?
A prophet in the wilderness?
A watcher by the shore?
A leader showing us the way?
A beacon in the night?
For when the world was dark and cold
A bringer of the light?
A one who gave out hope and truth
To those willing to hear?
A one who gave us faith and love
When desperate times were near?
A man who stood up to the crowd,
A righter of all wrongs,
Or just a man who understood
And told us in his songs?
I really don't know what you were,
Just a man or who?
I only know my life has been
Forever changed by you.
